Abstract

Asking about the origin of the term philosophy usually entails great problems; However, what we can do is ask ourselves about its content: this responds, roughly speaking, to a proximity through the use and functioning of reason; to the argued understanding of the human being, the world and its relationship with it.

In light of the growing—and increasingly noticeable—research on the philosophical contents of other parts of the globe, a resurgence of philosophy understood as a territorial unit is being promoted. That is, it is understood that philosophy is not exclusive to a geographical part of the world; It is understood as a philosophical multiculturalism. It is not only expanding the corpus of thinkers in the academic tradition, but also expanding the horizon of the concept of ancient philosophy.
